Since it’s sheer, you might want to get a full-length slip. On my head, I’m wearing a Rag & bone hat that’s chic, provides sun protection, is warm, and really elevates the whole look. When shopping for skirts for the office, pencil skirts are always appropriate but don’t rule out A-line and pleated styles. Instead, simply ensure the length and slit, if it has one, are suitable for your work. Small, simple jewelry is best for a classy look but you can have fun with a few chunkier pieces.

The lace tank top is what brings this look together. It is cute, neutral and can be worn with anything. All these pieces work well together and are great as separates to. Trenchcoats are the most professional looking coats. They pair really well with all workwear outfits.

To add sun protection, keep my head warm, and add a stylish accessory, I’m wearing a faux suede baseball cap. Baseball caps are having a moment right now so there are SO many cool options out there! On my bottom half, I’m wearing the same Mother jeans from #4, but in white! On my feet are a pair of Golden Goose sneakers that have a removable shearling sole. I love this pair SO much because of the cool color combo. Having a few skirts in your workwear will instantly make nailing the business casual dress code easier.

On my bottom half, I’m wearing some of my favorite Mother jeans. They are a cropped flare that is SO flattering and comfortable. Just trust me…multiple Team Busbee members own these jeans and love them! To complete the look, I’m wearing the same Steve Madden booties but you could swap them for sneakers too.

What is really nice about the pencil skirt is that it is comfortable and you can wear it in confidence because it also flatters the body well. Patterned or not, the pencil skirt is very cute. On days when I don’t feel like tucking in I go for jogger style trousers. They are stylish plus look great with untucked tops and messy buns. You can dress up joggers easily by wearing them with heels or keep it relaxed by opting for loafers/sneakers. Jumpsuits are another one-piece outfit makers only if you manage to find onewith sleeves.

Layering isn’t only a hot trend, it’s a chic way to feel cozy during cold days, and this is exactly what we need to do to look cool at work. Here are some ideas to create cool fall layered looks for this fall to wear at the office. The plane tee that is more fitted and dressed up with a nice work pant is a very cute casual fall work outfit. The plain tee really should be a staple in a work closet because it also goes well under jackets and blazers. There are hundreds of outfits you can choose from with the plain tee style. This is the same concept as #5 but it’s just a little more polished.
Bodysuit, a Midi Skirt, and Knee-High Boots
The goal is to look good at least from the waist up. To do that, pick a beautiful colored top like this jewel-toned blouse by Paige. It’ll brighten your face and looks beautiful on camera. Then pick a pair of comfy jeans like these super flattering dark wash wide-leg jeans by Paige. I paired the look with booties, but if you’re walking around your house you could do no shoes or something comfortable like slippers or sneakers. Make sure your clothes are free of wrinkles, pills, tears and stains.
It is also layered with a beautiful coat for when the weather gets colder. You could wear everything together like this and each item is a great separate that will look great with other items. Make a big impression of the people you meet at work with your fall work outfits. These earrings are the perfect bold statement that is trendy and professional. While keeping all outfits colorful, easy and fall appropriate. Today in this work outfits for Fall post I am excited to share all myfavorite workwear pieces and how I remix them to create new outfits every day.
Classy Chic Outfits to Wear to Work This Fall
It features a black jacket, black pants and a white top. A smart black jacket is always great to have in the wardrobe as it goes with everything. This outfit would also look cute with some boots or some sneakers. Switch up a classic fall outfit idea—button-down, crewneck sweater, trousers—with bold colors and prints.

If you are on your feet or have a long day, wear a casual tight pant and a patterned blazer jacket. The pattern gives your wardrobe texture and it keeps your fall work outfits fun and playful. Light grey plaid trousers serve as another neutral base for this outfit. Plaid is a pattern that can easily be worked into both business casual and classy chic outfits. Most plaids can be viewed as one color, making them interesting yet professional. This button up blouse features a loose, draped design.
They are the perfect blend of modern and classic. This blouse would also pair well with a pencil skirt for another variation of the outfit. Classy outfits don’t have to cost a lot of money. However, your work wardrobe does deserve a little of your money and attention. A matching set in this gorge camel shade is very "fall," especially when you pair with shoes in the same elegant color, like these pointed pumps.
For a fashion-forward fall work outfit, try a stirrup jumpsuit over slingback pumps. To keep your outfit sharply in focus, pull your hair back with a polished pin. Don't limit your florals to just spring/summer.
All of the looks above feature minimal accessories. Most were finished with small earrings or pearl accessories. A delicate gold necklace is a good piece to have to accessorize your work wear. Another look featuring a black blazer, the solid ruffle top, and dark grey plaid pants. This entire look is finished off with trendy white ankle boots. Even though they are trendy, the ankle boots feature a classic block heel and square toe design.

To be taken seriously at work and to look professional, you need to invest in quality basics. You may consider purchasing these pieces in neutrals as well. Your neutral basic pieces will get the most wear. These wardrobe essentials will pair nicely with everything else in your wardrobe.
Ribbed Top, Trousers, and a Dome Ring
A lot of these pieces, I had them for more than 2 years now like the banana trousers, pumps, the cardigans, and most tops. One of my favorite “occasions” is…a cozy day at home with absolutely nothing on the calendar! Even though you’re not doing much, you still want to feel put together, comfortable, and like you can comfortably answer the door if you need to. This set is by Jenni Kayne and you may remember it from this post where I feature some of the best loungewear trends. I love the combo of these two pieces together, but you could wear them as separates too.

They are both comfy, cozy, and SO luxurious-feeling. Black pumps are also another item to include in a wardrobe for classy chic outfits. They are also a great go to for fall work wear. This sweater vest, knit pants, and flat mules formula amounts to total comfort. Fall work outfits feel decidedly fresher than in other seasons.
